The project involved knocking out some internal walls and adding in steel beams from the outside inwards in order to support the ceilings. Our steel fabrications team worked closely with the customer and their structural engineer to ensure the beams fabricated followed all current regulations and accommodated the recommendations of the engineer.
The job also involved internal and external building works. Inside it included the removal and reallocation of radiators and waste outlets, the demolision of walls and the creation of a stud wall for the new toilet and utility, whilst additionally blocking up some exisiting and unused doors. We then supplied the tools and materials required to tile the new cloakroom and fit the toilet and sink set.
Externally, the access door which was blocked up inside also needed bricking on the outside of the house whilst the underground drainage and waste pipes needed to be modified in order to accommodate the new location of the toilet and utility.
